Tip: How To Turn On Google Analytics 4 Demographics Data
All categories of demographics data aren’t included by default in Google Analytics 4, but they’re easy to activate.
You do so by turning on something called Google Signals.
This will enable you to track all demographic data – age, gender, interests, etc. – for any user who is signed in to a Google account on their device and has enabled (or rather, not disabled) ads personalization1.
How do you turn on Google Signals? Click on this video to see, or follow the steps listed below:
Go to your Google Analytics 4 dashboard
Go to Admin
In the Property Column, click Data Settings > Data Collection
Turn on Google Signals
Your account will now begin to collect demographics data for eligible visitors to your site, as specified above
