Tip: Don’t Let Google Set Up GA4 for You
Analysis: Google recently notified users that it would set up GA4 properties for anyone who hadn’t already done so. This is generally not helpful, and I recommend turning it off, which is what I’m going to show you how to do today.
Signed in to Google Analytics, go to Admin > Property (column) > GA4 setup assistant and turn off the setting you see here (it should be blue and ticked to the right if you haven’t done this already):
If you created a GA4 property directly from/associated with your Universal Analytics account, you probably won’t see this. Otherwise, you may end up with multiple GA4 properties (the superfluous one being a very basic version), which is why I recommend disabling this setting.
You may also get a popup like this, in which case I recommend responding “No”.
If you have questions or are confused by this, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Analysis: How I Use AI To Create Content
For today’s analysis, I would like to expand on something I touched on Friday: the intersection of AI + content creation + SEO.
Google recently updated its documentation for “AI-generated” content. It’s never taken a more friendly stance toward the tool.
But that doesn’t mean it’s an SEO silver bullet.
I’m going to discuss my first-hand experience with “AI-"assisted” content, and hopefully give you some ideas that make your process more efficient without compromising quality and accuracy.
