We are pleased to share that after a number of years of steady progress, and with a little bit of a boost from the million+ new Bing preview users, we have crossed 100M Daily Active Users of Bing. …
Of the millions of active users of the new Bing preview, it’s great to see that roughly one third are new to Bing.
Very subtle how in the first reference they say million+, as if to make it seem like a much smaller percentage of that 100 million number, but then they say “millions” on the next reference.
🛠 Why does this matter? A couple weeks ago I received access to Bing’s AI chat.
One of my complaints? You need the Edge Browser to access the AI tool. Here’s what I wrote March 2:
I’m sure whoever runs Edge marketing is having a field day showing how many new downloads they have been getting recently. But I imagine most of those downloads are from people like me who just want to try the AI chat feature.
So, yeah. Congratulations.
Maybe Microsoft could use some AI to create a less spam-thirsty homepage upon launching the Edge browser:

🛠 Why does this matter? This would be Twitter getting another degree further from what made it great (and distinct) in the first place.
But what once made Twitter popular is probably of little interest to Elon Musk.

Meta-owned Facebook has surpassed 2 billion daily active users (DAUs).
Contrary to reports otherwise, Facebook is not dead nor dying, but in fact alive and thriving with 2 billion daily active users.

In announcing this milestone, the blue monster highlighted a few other things.
