I. Twitter (Finally) Takes Away Legacy Verifications
What was originally supposed to happen April 1 was finally carried out 4/20. (No one would be surprised if that was the plan all along.)
🛠 Why does this matter? As you see in the tweet, there are ways to get that verification back, either as an individual or an organization (the latter being more expensive).
Ironically, the very next day “Pay the $8” – the price of Twitter Blue – was trending on Twitter, in case there was any doubt about how determined Elon Musk is to use this as a revenue boost for “Twitter,” which, again, technically no longer exists.

II.. GA4 Homepage Gets a Makeover
It includes:
New welcome tutorial
New banner along the top of the Home page (just for Google Ads users)
“The banner lists the key tasks you must complete to bid against your Google Analytics 4 data”
“Suggested for you” section updates
Based on what’s popular across all GA4 properties as well as what they deem most useful to your property
Dismiss suggestions, insights, and recommendations
“Based on your input, Google Analytics can better curate the Home page for you in the future.” Here’s an annoying caveat: If you “thumbs-down” the feature, it doesn’t go away in that same session unless you also provide feedback.
Open the Setup Assistant from anywhere (obviously not limited to the homepage)
🛠 Why does this matter? Whether the “improvement” updates are actually useful remains to be seen.
The tutorial/setup enhancements are an indication of the ticking timebomb countdown to the forced transition July 1 to GA4.
While Google launched GA4 way before it was ready, at least they’re seizing the sense of urgency to get the product ready for the official transition date.
