Tip: Turn Off Personalized Google Ads
Whether to activate Google Signals is a big decision in your Google Analytics 4 setup. I talk about this more in-depth in my GA4 course for content creators.
There are two factors that determine whether Google Signals can track a user across devices (among other benefits).
Are they signed in to the same Google account across devices?
Have they NOT disabled ad personalization?
I use a double-negative on the second requirement because, by default, this is turned on.
So even though you may want users to keep ad personalization on so you can have more accurate data in your GA4 dashboard, it’s only fair that you also know how to turn it off.
Go to https://myadcenter.google.com/
Select “On” next to Personalized Ads
Select “Turn off”
(Google will then tell you “It may take a little while for this change to take effect.” Go figure.)
That’s it. No more ruining that surprise you had for your wife because she borrowed your computer and got bombarded with ads for that thing you have been so excited to buy her. (Not at all speaking from personal experience.)

One of the most useful ways I have found to use ChatGPT is to extract ideas from large amounts of text. e.g. podcast transcripts, interview transcripts, reports.
(This is best for denser material that covers a wide range of topics and could therefore generate multiple ideas. For more concise, single-topic pieces of content, you could still use ChatGPT to get help with an outline, for example, but there probably won’t be multiple story ideas to extract.)
Here's an example of a sequence of prompts I might provide to generate original content ideas:
